Cargo Claims Policy

1. Overview

This Cargo Claims Policy outlines the process, requirements, and limitations for claims related to lost or damaged shipments handled by Gohfr, Inc. (“Gohfr”). By using our services, you agree to this policy.

2. Coverage Summary

Gohfr maintains a cargo insurance policy for eligible shipments. However:

  • Coverage is limited and conditional
  • Not all shipments qualify
  • Claims are subject to insurance policy terms and approval

3. Eligibility for Claims

A shipment may be eligible for a claim if:

  • It was booked through the Gohfr platform
  • It was successfully picked up by a Gohfr driver
  • Loss or damage occurred while in transit

4. Non-Covered Items

The following are NOT eligible for claims:

  • Illegal goods
  • Hazardous materials
  • Cash or cash equivalents
  • High-value items (e.g., jewelry, precious metals, collectibles)
  • Improperly packaged items
  • Perishable goods (unless explicitly agreed in writing)

5. Customer Responsibilities

To qualify for a claim, customers must:

  • Properly package all items to prevent damage
  • Accurately describe shipment contents
  • Comply with all shipping restrictions

Failure to meet these requirements may result in claim denial.

6. Claim Filing Deadline

All claims must be submitted within:

  • 👉 48 hours of delivery (or failed delivery)

Late submissions may be denied.

7. Required Documentation

To file a claim, you must provide:

  • Order or delivery ID
  • Description of the issue
  • Photos of damaged items (if applicable)
  • Proof of value (invoice or receipt)
  • Any supporting documentation

8. Claim Review Process

  • Claims are reviewed internally and/or by our insurance provider
  • Additional information may be requested
  • Review timelines may vary

9. Claim Resolution

If approved, compensation will be based on:

  • Verified value of goods
  • Insurance policy limits

Gohfr reserves the right to:

  • Repair
  • Replace
  • Reimburse

10. Liability Limitations

To the maximum extent permitted by law: Gohfr’s liability is limited to the lesser of:

  • The declared value of the shipment
  • The applicable insurance coverage limit

11. Denial of Claims

Claims may be denied if:

  • Filed after the deadline
  • Missing required documentation
  • Shipment violates the prohibited item policy
  • Damage results from inadequate packaging
